As a child Anusha was raised listening to an eclectic range of music, due to her mother and father being passionate music fans. From the sweet soul sounds of Stevie wonder to the rocky sounds of Queen (a favourite of her father Nava.) Her mother Margaret was born and raised in Mauritius and so Anusha would often hear the sexy, African beats of Sega. 'I have to dance when Sega comes on, it just takes over my body' The influence of Sega is prominate in Love my Body and Turning me on.


Encouraged by her parents to be confident, from the age of 5 years, Anusha would seize every opportunity to perform in front of people whether it be at family gatherings or shows in public. Her passion for performance was ignited. Anusha was born in Cardiff, on a frosty, harsh December evening 1983, to Nava Navaratnarajah and Margaret Hermance. Her father Nava was raised in Sri lanka. Her parents were very keen travellers and so Anusha was exposed to cultural diversity at an early age.

From within the brown bricks of White City Estate in West London an Asian rapper, of Sri Lankan descent, was born. A rapper who started off by writing a few lyrics on occasions, not thinking about taking the game further than the bedroom and the streets, slowly became consumed with the beauty behind the music and lifestyle. Freestyling and writing lyrics became a regular thing which progressed to songs and performances and eventually leading to a positive reputation for being an artist.
